If you were unemployed before entering the learning centre (i.e. if you have 18 (2) learners), your contract with the employer automatically ends when the apprenticeship ends and the employer must provide you with a certificate of service for the duration of the contract. Apprenticeship does not guarantee the work of this or any other employer. There are a few ways to find an apprenticeship if you are currently unemployed. The 18 (2) learners must also meet all the criteria set by the employer for apprenticeship. For example, the employer can only accommodate female learners in order to achieve gender goals within the organization.
